We went on our annual family vacation last week, this year to San Diego! We had a blast! The weather was perfect; I want to move there, like tomorrow.
We had condo about a block from the beach which was the perfect way to stay with such a large group. Rhys woke up every morning asking for James - it was so nice to see such cousin-ly love!

After eating brunch at Hash House A-Go-Go (AMAZING!! Thanks Jodi for the rec!!), we visited Balboa park where Rhys rode a train and the carousel for the first time. He thought it was pretty cool to 'go fast!'

Rhys thought this was the ocean until later that day...ha!

We visited the famous San Diego Zoo one day. Rhys loved seeing the panda bears!

Rhys and James enjoyed pushing the wagon and sitting in the helicopter the most though.

Rhys was surprisingly freaked out by the beach this year. He didn't like getting dirty. HA!

He finally calmed down and was able to build sand castles while he sat on a beach chair wearing his shoes.

My parents kept the babies one day so the four of us to go on a beer train tour along the coast of SoCal. We had such a blast learning about craft beers and sampling them. ;)

We drove up to Disneyland one day; this was the best decision we made the entire trip! Rhys was in heaven. He went ALL day without a nap and without a single fit. (For Rhys, both of these are unheard of!) We stayed at the park for 7 hours; that was 4 hours longer than I thought he could last. He was so excited to see Mickey's house and has been talking about it non stop since he saw it. While riding It's a Small World, Rhys kept saying, "Wow!" and while riding Dumbo he kept saying "I fly!" It was priceless.

We visited La Jolla to see the sea lions; such a beautiful site!

Rhys was impressed with the crabs and fish caught in the rocks, although I believe he was wishing we were still at Disneyland.
Thanks mom and dad for the amazing memories!!
